Our story
It all begins with a love story
The origins of our company have their roots in a story that began more than forty years ago: the love story of Gaetano and Rosalia.
Gaetano, born in 1954, lives in Alia, a small village in inland Sicily. Rosalia, five years younger and from a nearby village, comes here to study, and it is here that she meets Gaetano during a strike — one of the many that marked the 1970s.
They fall in love and marry, but Rosalia makes one thing clear from the start: alongside her wish to become a wife and a mother, her plan for life includes work. A story, then, about revolution and emancipation.
And so Rosalia and Tanino begin working in textiles. With sacrifice, passion and determination they gather a thousand experiences, learn the art of sewing and, in April 2008, found Tecnoindustrie Aliesi.
The name
Tecnoindustrie Aliesi
The name comes from the wish to highlight the bond between the technology of the 2000s, which we use to make our shirts, and the village where it all began.
Tecnoindustrie Aliesi is the larger house that holds the brands Alia Camicie and ImperAlex. Both are built around “made-to-measure” and both were born to honour Alia: the first lets us work at a distance, the second offers a unique experience rooted in the land itself.

Our atelier is in Alia, on the south-western slope of the Madonie Park — less than an hour from Palermo, in a land that has made manual tradition its identity.
