Heart of the Madonie, in Sicily
A small village where time is measured by people's hands, not by machinery. It is here that our manufacture put down roots, in a land that safeguards the Sicilian textile tradition and the excellence of craftsmanship.
A village dating to 1296
Alia has existed as the Feudo Lalia since 1296. The municipality proper was founded in 1623 by Pietro Celestri, after receiving the licentia populandi from King Philip III. Seven centuries of continuity that can still be read in the stones, in the carved wooden doors and in the thòlos — the ancient dry-stone huts that make it the "city of the Thòlos".
In this landscape grew a manual vocation that never died out: carpets, hand-embroidered fabrics, wrought-iron and ceramic craftsmanship. The local Ethno-anthropological Museum preserves its tools and testimonies, in a journey that tells of Sicilian rural life of yesterday and today.

Hand-embroidered carpets and fabrics: a Sicilian school of practical know-how that speaks the same language as our tailoring.
Almond pastries, buccellati, sfinci. Ricotta, primosale and extra-virgin olive oil: a table that reflects the same care we put into every garment.
Less than an hour from the regional capital. Close enough to be reached, far enough to preserve a different pace of time.
